Poster Design

This poster was designed for Arizona State University's 12th Annual Visual Communication Design Poster Show. The first iteration was typographic, but I ended up shifting to a more image-based concept. I wanted to play with the idea of faces as in the face of a person and the face of a wall. There is a face behind every poster (a designer) and most posters end up on the face of a wall.

I arrived at the title "Surfaces,"
focusing more on the journey a poster goes through from the initial design to the final purchase. Posters are made on a surface (a desk, floor, etc) and end up hanging on a surface (a wall) after purchase. This transferring from surface to surface served to represent both the buyers and designers participating in the poster show.
